# ORIGIN SURCHARGES

In some countries, terminating operators have started applying surcharges depending on the real call’s origin. These apply to both:

* a variety of originating country codes
* calls without a Calling Line Identifier (CLI) or with incomplete/manipulated CLI (non-valid CLI).

As a result, the final tariff of a call is now based on the combination of real caller's origin and the destination.

### COLT ORIGIN SURCHARGES

Colt applies origin surcharges to calls showing a surcharged origin country code and to calls with an amended CLI.

Per surcharged destination, origin country codes have been aggregated into groups. The same surcharge will be applied to all origin country codes in the same group.

Origin surcharges are uplift charges on top of termination rates. Origin surcharged destinations list and origin country groups:
